The automatic "In-line" punching and spiral coil binding machine is designed for the mass production of spiral bound items in the book binding industry. Single spiral binding is most durable, the bound books lay completely flat, the pages can be turned over completely, and the pages are bound so safely that no pages can be removed or added after binding. Single spiral binding allows the use of various wire diameters and the wide choice of nylon coated wire colours makes it possible to design each product individually. Spiral binding wire from spools ensures a cost effective production.

Punching:

• Hand feeding of the pre-punched product onto a conveyor table with gripping appliance.
• Separating of the product into single layers be means of separating discs.
• Transport to the punching station and punching.
• Collating and transportation to the spiral binding machine.

Spiral Binding:

• Transportation of the product into clamping pockets.
• Aligning of the binding perforation.
• Wire drawing from a spool, straightening, and guidance to the mandrel.
• The shaft of the mandrel forms the spiral and sets the spiral diameter.
• Spiral inserting into the binding perforation.
• The forming tool does not operate when no book is inserted.
• Electronic wire length control.
• Spiral cut off and inward bending of both spiral ends.
